Very soon, Kez will be posting the long awaited Talismen 101 page. This is the one stop place to go for newbies who have questions about the Talismen series, and is full of links to galleries and websites for those addicted readers who want to delve a little deeper into the Talismen mythos.

Hey yas Tally readers! I decided to post this title page of the next chapter- it's a shocker! That said, I have to announce that there will be no updates for a couple of weeks. Yes, I'm sorry, another hiatus. Again, a family emergency has taken away any free time I didn't have to begin with, so I have to take time off. Also, Steve and I are preparing for the show next week, and I have to figure out when to accomplish that!Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts on the last page. I was tickled that some of you were surprised, I was afraid that everyone would see it coming, but it did shock some of you, so YAY! And just what DID happen to Scath? And what will Timmy be like? You will just have to wait and see, dear readers.

Hiya Tally readers. Well here we are. End of Chapter V. Some of you smarty pants saw this coming. Of course you did. (I really need to stop posting concept art, don't I?)I'm going to be taking a short break from the story and just posting some other stuff for a couple weeks. Steve and I are preparing for our guest appearance at Anime Detour in Bloomington Minnesota and I need to focus on getting ready for that. February 12th:
Hey Talismen readers, this is Barb.
Well, I know I said there would be no new page this week, but I was wrong! Hee hee hee! Ba returns along with another character we haven't seen in a while... heading for a showdown. Whoo hoo.
I want to thank everyone for all of the nice emails and well wishes for my father last week. He came through his surgery fine, and is home now. My pipes are fixed, my car is running, and I start my job tomorrow, so everything is starting to run a little more smoothly.
I'm hoping to get back on track in the next few weeks where I will have time to update the vote incentives and create some other art as well. I also have some really nice fan pieces that I need to get on the site. Fan Art Friday will return!
I did post a few sketches on in the forum, for anyone interested in taking a peek- there are some teaser images there of upcoming new characters and a snippet from the cover of chapter VI.

February 5th:
Hello Talismen readers, this is Barb.
The last two weeks have been a bit unkind to me and to my family. A week ago Friday, the brakes gave out in my car and I was carless for five days (not recommended), that Sunday my pipes froze, and on Monday I fell on some ice and bruised myself up, but the worst thing was that my dad had a heart attack last Tuesday and is having surgery on the 5th.
Needless to say, spending all of my free moments at the hospital, I haven't gotten much done with Talismen, and in fact, the next two weeks I will not be posting updates. I'm sorry, but I know our wonderful readers will understand. Thank you to everyone who has sent such kind words of encouragement and prayers for Dad. It really means so much.
One good bit of news of course is that Tally was nominated for a 'Best Dramatic Webcomic' which always makes me chuckle when I think of the pic of Callum grimacing at Ollie and Astrina kissing. (Probably not the dramatic scene that folks thought of when they nominated us. ;-)) Thank you to everyone for your nominations!
Another bit of good news is that the graphic novel version of Exile may become a reality in the coming months thanks to the help of some friends. More on this soon!
That's about all....thank you again in advance for your patience while my family and I get through this rough time.

Hello from Barbhalla! Not a whole lot of Tally news to report this week, but as always— thank you for reading our story, and for taking the time to share your comments and opinons in the Shout Box and the forum. The forum was down for a couple of days, but we are back in working order.

Today is the day that WCCA nominations are announced, so we shall see how THAT goes. ;-) Thank you to all our webcomic pals who put in a nom for us. ^_^

Hello, Barb here. Another great visit week for Talismen! I can't wait to see what our numbers will be the next time we get the newsbox! I hope everyone is enjoying the story. I'm going to be glad to get those two back to the POI!

I just signed us up on a new webcomic site, called Comicmatch.com. Actually the site's creator, Eddie, who is a really nice guy, posted Talismen on the site during the alpha testing, but we are already getting some traffic from it. So comic creators, go check it out, you may want to join. The premise is based on the Pandora.com music matching service, where members are shown things that they would enjoy based on what they like.
Hey, I was a good girl- turned my WCCA nominations in ahead of schedule. We should find out soon if we got any nominations! SQUEE!
Apologies for the delay in creating the Gilligan coloring incentive, and also my gift art for Wayfarer. I have been trying to get pages done, and it takes all my time! Bwah! Sorry, I will try to get something soon I promise! The polls for the next few weeks will be strictly informative-- I want to get a barometer on what everyone currently is enjoying.

Wow! Last week was a great week for us, we had 3,000 visitors every day Monday through Friday! Let's see if we can repeat that! Thanks for all the shouts in the shout box, too! We love to hear from you!I want to extend an apology to our friends at Lady Star- I had given Kez the wrong link last week to their main site, so if you haven't visited LadyStar yet, the link is now fixed on our links page.
I also want to apologize for not getting the Gilligan's Island Talismen image done yet. Sorry! I hope to get that completed this week, and then we are going to have a coloring contest with it! Please stay tuned for that.
